Ahead of Harvard’s college football showdown with rival Yale this weekend, Cambridge-based Concepts — fresh off the opening of a massive new flagship in Dubai, its first
outside the States — is throwing it back to its previous rivalry packs with a “Varsity Weekend” New Balance duo. While the pack’s suede 998 comes in a deep crimson colorway that not only matches Harvard’s signature hue, but recalls the old Massachusetts bandana manufacturing and dyeing plants thanks to its branded insoles, the release’s 990 comes in a combination of white, grey and navy with pigskin suede construction, 3M details and varsity-style Concepts lettering.
Retailing for $180 USD and $160 USD, respectively, the 998 and 990 will be available in-store and online this Saturday, November 19.
