Mike Dean Questions Artists Who Drop Diss Tracks Before Album Release

Mike Dean took to Twitter today to call out rappers who drop diss tracks before their album releases. He asked: “Why do artists who are lacking always make a diss song just before their LP comes out?” His followers immediately speculated that the legendary Houston producer was referring to J. Cole’s recently released “False Prophets,” which many people assumed was targeted at Kanye West.

Dean then clarified his statement by providing several examples of these cases occuring in the past. He writes: “Soulja Boy, Quavo, Aphex Twin, Kanye; it goes on and on. 50 Cent, Kanye. I was not pointing at any one person. Calm down you hypebeasts!” Check out the tweets below and let us know if you agree with Dean’s observation.
